Virtual Palette Workshop: Level I-Fillers | Wendy W. Lee, MD, MS ![]() Wendy W. Lee, MD, MSWendy W. Lee, MD, MS, Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and Dermatology, specializes in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery with a special interest in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Lee earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master of Science degree in physiology from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She completed both her residency and internship at Tulane University and a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Lee treats a broad spectrum of oculoplastic disorders, including eyelid cancers, trauma, tearing disorders, eyelid malpositions, orbital tumors, and infection and inflammation of the lids and orbit. In addition, Dr. Lee provides the full range of services offered at the Institute’s Aesthetic Center, including blepharoptosis surgery; blepharoplasty of the upper and lower lids; brow and forehead lifts; and non-surgical cosmetic enhancements, including botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, and neck injections to treat the fat underneath the chin. She also performs photorejuvenation with lights and laser skin resurfacing for the face, neck, hands, and eyelids. Dr. Lee dedicates time to the teaching of residents, fellows, medical students, and community physicians. She is co-director of University of Miami Cosmetic Medicine, a multidisciplinary cosmetic group involving the departments of ophthalmology, dermatology, ears, nose, and throat (ENT), and plastic surgery. Together with her colleagues she organizes multispecialty trainings in cosmetic injectables, topical treatments, and lasers. Dr. Lee conducts research at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute with special interest in eyelid reconstruction, the aging eyelid skin, and aesthetic lasers. She also lectures around the world on oculoplastic disorders and aesthetic treatments related to the eye. She has been featured on CNN for her charitable work on patients from Third World countries. With over seventeen years’ experience as a nurse practitioner and over thirteen years’ experience as an aesthetic injector, Haley offers her patients a unique combination of experience, knowledge and personal attention. She currently owns her own aesthetic practice, The Look Facial Aesthetics, in Franklin, Tennessee. Haley graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Evansville, Indiana, followed by training in trauma intensive care nursing at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, Kentucky. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She was voted among the top ten Most Loved Injectors by RealSelf, an online aesthetics resource, in 2017. She has also written an eBook, 50 Things You Need to be a Great Aesthetic Nurse, which serves as an introduction to nurses who are interested in the aesthetics field. In addition, she has served as a faculty mentor for doctoral nursing students, and assisted in the creation of a standardized checklist and intake assessment tool for use prior to dermal filler treatment called the ACIST. He is a highly sought after lecturer, having given over 1000 lectures locally, nationally, and internationally. He has reviewed scientific papers for the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and The Laryngoscope. He has performed over 20,000 surgical procedures, and is an expert in rhinoplasty and aging-related surgeries such as facelift, browlift, and eyelid lift surgery. Lee, MD, MS, Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and Dermatology, specializes in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery with a special interest in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Lee earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master of Science degree in physiology from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She completed both her residency and internship at Tulane University and a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
