Ellen C. Gendler, MD

Renowned for her straightforward, gimmick-free approach to skin care, Dr. Ellen Gendler is highly regarded as a leading authority in cosmetic dermatology. A board-certified dermatologist, she boasts impressive credentials and is praised for her personable manner by her patients.

Consistently included in New York magazine’s Best Doctors list, Dr. Gendler is well known for her work with Botox^® and soft tissue fillers, including Restylane_^®, Perlane®, Juvéderm^®, Juvéderm^® Voluma^®, and Radiesse^®, as well as her experience with reactions to cosmetics. In keeping with her back-to-basics skincare philosophy, she strongly believes that dermatological treatments must be supported by a minimalist skincare regime to maintain luminous skin.

Well regarded for her honest, academic approach, Dr. Gendler was a leading consultant for Inamed Aesthetics, now part of Allergan. She was also the principal investigator in the United States for the first injectable hyaluronic acid filler, Hylaform^®, and was one of the physicians who participated in the clinical trials of Dysport^®.

Dr. Gendler often shares her in-depth knowledge of dermatology, and is frequently called on to consult for various pharmaceutical and Fortune 500 companies including Johnson & Johnson, Lever Brothers, Bristol Myers Squibb, Colgate-Palmolive, Chesebrough-Ponds, Warner-Lambert, Procter & Gamble, Ortho Pharmaceutical, Allergan, Genzyme Biosurgery, and Aden & Anais. She was also a consultant to Bobbi Brown when she created her eponymous skincare line.

A Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at NYU Langone Medical Center, where she was a Co-Director of the Contact Dermatitis Division for many years, Dr. Gendler is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a former trustee of The Dermatology Foundation. Additionally, she has served as the director of the widely attended Cosmetics Symposium at the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting for many years, and is known by colleagues for her creative lecturing style. She is the author of numerous scientific publications and is regularly quoted in various popular magazines. In addition, she is considered a master injector and trainer for virtually all of the filler and toxin companies, as well as one of the key faculty of the P.A.L.E.T.T.E. curriculum, teaching best injection practices to physicians and nurses around the country.

An honors graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, Dr. Gendler earned her medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. After her internship in internal medicine, she completed her residency in dermatology at the New York University Medical Center Skin and Cancer Unit with additional training at St John’s Hospital for Diseases of the Skin in London, England.

Dr. Gendler has been appointed a New York City Honorary Police Surgeon. She was one of a select group of physicians to be awarded this title, in order to serve “New York’s Finest”. According to Dr. Gendler, “It is a privilege to be named an Honorary Police Surgeon and be able to treat the men and women who keep our city safe”.

She and her husband, Dr. James Salik, a practicing physician at NYU Langone Medical Center, reside in New York City. They have two sons: one a physician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and the other a practicing attorney with Skadden, Arps in New York City.

Timothy M. Greco, MD

Timothy M. Greco is a facial cosmetic plastic surgeon in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is also double board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. His surgical practice focuses solely on plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck.

Dr. Greco gained his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency training at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, also in Philadelphia, where he specialized in head and neck surgery. He went on to complete a facial plastic surgery fellowship, concentrating on rhinoplasty and the aging face.

Dr. Greco is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Facial Plastic Surgery. He has authored numerous papers on facial plastic surgery and co-authored several articles on injectable aesthetic treatments in journals such as Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America and Facial Plastic Surgery.

He has taught many courses throughout the United States in rhinoplasty, minimally invasive facial procedures, and endoscopic facial plastic surgery, and has presented clinical research in facial plastic surgery at the national meeting of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Greco has served as a medical consultant in facial aesthetics for Allergan, Valeant, and Merz. He is also a member of the PALETTE faculty and trains health care professionals in the aesthetic application of neuromodulators and fillers. He holds current medical licenses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Minnesota.

Dr. Greco was voted “Best Plastic Surgeon” in Philadelphia Style magazine’s “Best of Philly 2010”, “Best of Philly 2011”, and “Best of Philly 2012”, issues.

Bradley A. Greene, MD, FACS

Dr. Bradley Greene was born and raised here in the San Francisco Bay Area. He began his practice in 1992 in Chicago. Then, after serving as a surgeon in the United States Air Force in the late 1990′s, Dr. Greene opened his private facial cosmetic practice in the Bay Area. He is Board Certified in Facial Plastic Surgery and Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgery. He devotes and limits his practice exclusively to facial plastic, cosmetic, and rejuvenation procedures and services.

After completing his pre-medical studies at UCLA and overseas at Sussex University in England, Dr. Greene completed a combined MD/MBA program at Tulane University in New Orleans. He then moved on to complete his surgical internship and residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago before practicing as a surgeon in the United States Air Force.

Dr. Greene is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Joseph L. Grzeskiewicz, MD, FACS

After graduating from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia, I came to San Diego, California for surgical internship at U.S. Naval Hospital San Diego. I then attended the U.S. Naval Aerospace Medicine Institute in Pensacola, Florida where I completed training to become a Navy flight surgeon. After 4 years at Camp Pendleton and Okinawa, Japan with the Marines as a flight surgeon, I returned to surgical training at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics where I completed an integrated general and plastic surgery residency, a preceptorship in aesthetic surgery in Miami, Florida with Drs. James Baker, who popularized the use of the phenol peel, and James Stuzin, who developed the extended SMAS facelift technique, and one final year of fellowship training at UVA. I began private practice in San Diego in 1999.

Currently I am a board certified plastic surgeon in private practice in La Jolla, California where I devote my practice to elective aesthetic surgery. I have interests in breast and body contouring surgery, facial rejuvenation surgery, and non-surgical injectable treatments. I am an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the California Medical Association, and the San Diego Plastic Surgery Society, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I am the past-president of the San Diego Plastic Surgery Society. Currently I am a member of the active attending staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

W. Tracy Hankins, MD

Dr. Hankins is well known throughout the Las Vegas Valley for his compassionate patient care and excellence in surgical results. He has a wealth of experience in facial, breast, and body aesthetics. Furthermore, he is individually one of the largest users of breast implants in the United States, and he lectures regularly to other plastic surgeons on breast aesthetics. Dr. Hankins also has a special interest in facial aesthetics and cosmetic injectables and serves on the advisory boards for many of the injectable companies, including Allergan, Medicis^®, and Valeant. He also enjoys sharing his techniques and knowledge with other injectors, and he acts as a trainer for Allergan and Medicis^® and a master trainer for Sculptra^®.

Dr. Hankins comes to Las Vegas from Arizona, where he was in solo practice for 10 years following graduation from his plastic surgery residency. He completed his medical school training at Indiana University and his undergraduate training at Davidson College in North Carolina. At Davidson, he was a Division I Academic All-American in soccer, and he graduated Magna Cum Laude. At Indiana University, Dr. Hankins received the highly regarded Edwards Scholarship that is given to only four of the graduate students in the entire Indiana University system each year. He was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as a junior, an honor given to less than 5% of the medical school class.

Dr. Hankins received comprehensive training at the Grand Rapids program in Michigan, which is one of the oldest combined plastic surgery programs in the United States. He is extensively trained in breast surgery, as he worked closely with one of the premier breast surgeons in the country during the course

Dr. Hankins’s training was also focused on cosmetic surgery, and he is well versed in state-of-the-art techniques. He is frequently sought after as a guest expert on television shows and networks, including CBS’ “The Doctors”, the TLC Network, and local news segments. Additionally, his patients have been featured in national magazines, including MAXIM and Playboy.

Julie Bass Kaplan, FNP-BC, NP-C, CANS

Julie began her medical aesthetics career in 1999, when she and her husband opened Disappearing Act Laser & Skin Rejuvenation, a medical spa, in Redding, California. Since then, she has devoted her career exclusively to aesthetic medicine.

Julie received her Family Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP) from Sonoma State University in California, and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) and a Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse (CPSN). She is also a Public Health Nurse (PHN) and holds a certificate in Health Care Management (HCMT). Julie currently holds nursing licenses in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Nevada.

Julie has a special interest in teaching safe aesthetic injection techniques. She is a faculty member for PALETTE Resources, a speaker/trainer for the Allergan Medical Institute, and a member of Allergan's Advisory Board. She is also a Scientific Sessions Planning Committee (SSPC) member for the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN) Annual Meeting and an Editorial Board member for Plastic Surgical Nursing. Julie has published articles in several medical journals and made presentations at various professional international meetings. She also provides individual injection training workshops through her company, JBK Aesthetics.

Julie’s professional affiliations include the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, and ISPAN. She is also a past president for the North State Cancer League in Redding, California.

Julie loves spending time with her husband and three children. She loves to run and hike with her two Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs, Stingray and Jamba. She paints with watercolors, acrylics, and oil paints whenever the mood strikes. Julie believes that art is her best therapy, and she feels blessed to have a career that allows her to artistically enhance her patients’ natural beauty.

Joely Kaufman, MD

Joely Kaufman, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Coral Gables, Florida. She was full-time faculty in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine for 7 years. She still serves as a voluntary Clinical Associate Professor, teaching residents and fellows injection and laser techniques in aesthetics.

Dr. Kaufman is currently the Director of Skin Associates of South Florida in Coral Gables. She is also heavily involved in clinical research at the Skin Research Institute and is a Principal Investigator on several clinical trials in dermatology, including registration trials of neuromodulators, fillers, and devices for aesthetic applications.

Dr. Kaufman has authored and contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications on aesthetic technologies and techniques, and serves as a consultant to several companies developing new products for the aesthetics market. She also lectures extensively—both nationally and internationally—on various aesthetic modalities in dermatology, including toxins, fillers, and lasers.

Rana Kennelly, BSN, BSc (Hons), CANS

Rana Kennelly has some 25 years of expertise in nursing and midwifery, including 17 years as a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. She is one of the most respected and in-demand trainers and educators in the aesthetics field. She founded The Confidence Lab, an aesthetic training facility in 2013, and The Confidence Bar, a luxury medical spa, in 2020.

Rana is a speaker/trainer for P.A.L.E.T.T.E. Resources, Allergan, and Galderma.

Jenifer Lachicotte, FNP

Jenifer is a creative Family Nurse Practitioner who has served in the GrandStrand/Charleston area for over 27 years. Her extensive background andeducation has well-equipped her for her current solo Private Practicespecializing in aesthetics and women’s health. Jenifer received her RN, BSN in1987 at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston. She returned years later andearned her Masters Degree in Community Health Nursing, as well as, her FamilyNurse Practitioner. Always on the cutting edge with education and patient care,Jenifer has worked as a staff medical/surgical nurse, as an Enterstomal Therapist,and in Human Resources developing policies, procedures and continuing educationprograms.

She has worked as a staff nurse in theneurological and cardiac intensive care units. Jenifer also worked as apsychology nurse, specializing with chemically dependent health care providers.In 1997, she became a nurse practioner and began to focus on women’s wellness,aesthetics, and science-based health promotion.

Her unique ability to listen to her patientsand work together with them to develop plans of care for them is one of hermany gifts. As an artist, Jenifer has the ability to perform cosmeticprocedures with a keen eye for desirable outcomes and natural beauty.

Jenifer has over 10 years experience withinjectable cosmetic products and provides training for physicians and nursesupon referral. She has volunteered at the Smith Medical Clinic and has servedon mission trips to Haitias well as, been a chairperson for the Georgetown County Disaster team.

Michael P. Lafkas, MD

Michael P. Lafkas, MD, received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and his medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC). He completed both an internship and residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Dr. Lafkas founded Aesthetic Laser Care in 2004 and dedicates 100% of his time to medical aesthetics. His medical expertise include laser and pulsed light systems and various injectable treatments including BOTOX^® Cosmetic, Juvéderm^®, Restylane^®, Sculptra, and Radiesse^®.

He has performed tens of thousands of injectable treatments and is a Diamond level injector for Allergan. Dr. Lafkas has served as a consultant to Allergan Inc, the maker of Botox and Juvederm, since 2006. He has trained hundreds of physicians and nurses since 2006.
